Low Carb Pizza Chicken

Low Carb Pizza Chicken

Pizza Chicken is one of my go-to chicken recipes. It's quick, easy, and always a winner with my kids and husband.

You could also use spaghetti sauce instead of pizza sauce (making it Spaghetti Chicken instead), BUT if your going for the low carb angle, pizza sauce is much lower in carbs than spaghetti sauce, and just as flavorful!

Ingredients
Thawed chicken breast or tenderloins
Shredded Parmesan
Italian seasoning
Pizza sauce

Directions

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking pan with tin foil.

 2. Mix some shredded Parmesan cheese and a few tablespoons of italian seasoning together. This will serve as your "breading" for your chicken.

2. Pour a cup and a half of pizza sauce into a bowl. Just make sure to save some to pour on the chicken later.

3. Dip your chicken in the pizza sauce then transfer chicken to the parmesan mixture to roll and coat to "bread" the chicken and then put into the baking pan.

4. Bake for about 45 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.

DONE!

Now warm up some extra pizza sauce in the microwave and spread across the chicken. This is the best part! I serve it on the side for my kids because they like to dip their chicken in it.

  1. While I don't have the recipe posted on my blog, this is very similar to a recipe I'd made from Jorge Cruise's book... only simpler and quicker! ( Here's a pic of when I'd made his recipe: http://basicsbounty.blogspot.com/2013/02/crockpot-chicken-hominy-chili-recipe.html ) Next time, I will go your route instead. Yummy!

  2. What kinds of dressing are you using on your salads?

Thanks for visiting, I love hearing from you, however it still always surprises me how many mean and rotten comments I receive, so please remember that I post what I eat merely as a suggestion of ideas for others. Low carbing is not cut and dry. What works for me may or may not work for you. Also, I live exclusively low carb, but I don't live my life counting them so I don't often include the net carb counts on recipes. Happy low carbing ya'll! :)
