I thought i'd share one of my recent yummy dinners with you...a hamburger salad with a side of steamed squash. The salad is the one in the spotlight here though! I haven't eaten a hamburger on a bun in so many years, but I NEVER miss having a "bunburger." You know why?....because hamburger salads ROCK!Seriously, you should try it if you haven't already. Whether you eat turkey burgers, beef burgers, or veggie burgers, you can make hamburger salad by just chopping up your cooked burger and adding all your favorite hamburger fixins to a big bowl of lettuce (I usually use romaine) that you can then coat with mayo or mustard (ketchup or BBQ is too sugary unless you can find a reputable sugar free brand).
Once you get used to the idea of a hamburger salad, you'll become a pro at ordering your favorite burgers at restaurants. Get used to the phrase...."i'd like a _____ burger, no bun, extra lettuce please." Easy peasy! Plus, this is really easy to fix at home and it's one of my faves so I always keep extra turkey burgers in the freezer.
